Did you know that up to 95% of people who treat their candidiasis by conventional methods (like over the counter and prescription products) actually end up with a recurrent infection?
Most of us have had an attack or two of candidiasis and are incredibly reluctant to repeat the experience. Candidiasis is caused when there is an overgrowth of the fungus Candida which leads to an infection. It is usually easily diagnosed and treated.
Here are three remedies that should be in your bathroom or kitchen cupboard that should help straight away.
Tea Tree Oil - dilute and apply to the affect area, either have a sits bath with a few drops in it or get a cotton wool ball and dip it in a basin of warm water that has had a couple of drops added. Be very careful because if the oil is too strong it will sting a lot!
Cider Vinegar - Add a cupful to the bath, or for vaginal candidiasis soak a tampon and insert overnight. You can use white vinegar but it does need to be diluted first.
Yogurt - may be applied topically and eaten to help to balance out the friendly bacteria. (plain/natural with no added sugars is best for topical)
In addition to using these effective remedies it helps if you adopt a healthier diet and lifestyle. It's best to cut back on processed and junk foods, sugar, white flour and caffeine. A change in your eating habits can go a long way to getting rid of the symptoms associated with yeast candidiasis.
While the symptoms associated with an overgrowth of yeast candidiasis can be irritating and uncomfortable, they can turn into serious health problems if left untreated or treated improperly. This is something that should be taken seriously and treated properly. If left untreated, permanent damage can be done to the intestinal walls in addition to joint pain and possible memory loss (pretty serious, if you ask me!). If yeast reaches the lungs and sinuses, extreme inflammation is possible, which could become a life threatening condition.
The yeast candidiasis organism is usually kept under control by a healthy immune system, but if it becomes imbalanced the organism will start to grow out control. Some other things like a hormone imbalance, stress, an acidic pH level (low pH), and indigestion may also show up. An immune system that is out of balance will only help the infections spread more rapidly. For this reason, steps should be taken to get the immune system healthy once more. However, a strong immune system is not the only factor to rid yourself of candidiasis for good so it is best to seek professional help from a trained professional.
